Piqui's Law (SB 331 Rubio), enacted January 1, 2024, is protecting children across the state in family court by prohibiting the courts from ordering certain highly traumatic reunification programs, services, and treatments. The law ensures that critical training is developed and established for judicial officers involved in domestic violence and child custody matters and set up reporting requirements on education and training participation taken by judicial officers.
